Bloomsburg University of Pennsylvania
The Department of Physics at Bloomsburg University invites
applications for a tenure-track position at the instructor or
assistant professor level, starting January, 1997. A Ph.D
in physics or equivalent is required. Preference will be
given to applicants with an experimental nuclear physics or
health physics background who are prepared to support the
health physics degree program and who can teach a course
in radiation biology. Commitment to quality teaching is
essential. Initial teaching responsibilities will include
physics for medical/radiation technology majors and other
introductory-level physics and physical science courses.
College-level teaching experience, including laboratories,
will be an advantage. The initiation and development of
undergraduate research projects is expected. An on-campus
interview will be required. The nine-member department
offers undergraduate degrees in physics and health physics.
