Dear RadSafers,

This is just a quick note to correct an unfortunate and ugly rumor that is
currently being circulated.  Despite rumors to the contrary, Joseph L.
Shepherd, founder and president of J. L. Shepherd and Associates in San
Fernando, CA is alive and well.  He and his wife Dorothy just returned from
a vacation in Victoria and other parts of western Canada.  He may be upset
about not catching fish, but that just proves he is alive and well.  Joe
asked me to tell you to send checks made out to his retirement fund in lieu
of flowers.
