calculation of dose to biota

     Radsafers:
     When calculating doses to non-human biota, does one apply a multiplier (20) 
     to account for the biological effectiveness of internally deposited alpha 
     emitters?  This approach is akin to  the application of the quality factor 
     when converting from absorbed dose to dose equivalent (Gy to Sv or rad to 
     rem).
