Some time ago George Anastas posted the following;
........" do not destroy your journal collections. There are
institutions that want them, including many in third world countries.
For example, the International Organization for Medical Physics
Libraries Program has a well organized program for sending journals and
books far and wide. It selects the institutions and pays shipping
expenses. Contact Catherine Wormelink, Curator, at Gerhenson Radiation
Oncology Center, Harper Hospital and Wayne State University.
The phone number listed does not reach Ms. Wormelink and requests to
unknowns at the answering voicemail for info on her and the program have
yielded nothing.
Does anyone on Radsafe have current information on the program and its
contact?
