Hi gang -

Several posts from our Australian associates have been directed 
to me about my post about the LA Times's version of the Australian 
response to the Mars96 probe crash. Clearly, the actual response in
Australia was substantially different than the characterization of it by 
the LA Times. It appears that the Australians not only did not overreact, 
but instead handled it in a rational and balanced manner. 

Ten lashes with a wet Rad Health Handbook to me for taking the 
LA Times report so literally. Imagine, a newspaper embellishing a story. 
Maybe it's true that there's no more innocence left in this world. I'm going 
straight home and throw out my teddy bear !
