Supreme Court Ruling on 42 TMI-2 Injury Cases

For those who are interested, there is a copyrighted (but somewhat
confusing) article that was published in today's "Philadelphia
Inquirer" that indicates that the Supreme Court, yesterday,
threw out an injury case from 42 individuals that had filed lawsuits
in Mississippi (seeking to avoid a shorter, and missed, statute of
limitations on injury cases in the State of Penssylvania) claiming
injury from the 1979 TMI-2 incident.

Based upon the Price-Anderson Act limiting liability from nuclear
energy, the Pennsylvania statute of limitation of 2 years was upheld.
In all, 2,100 individuals had filed suit in Pennsylvania, and those
cases were thrown out by a circuit court this past summer.
