There are no data that I know of.  The 8 curies is only based on a
calculation that says:  if you have a one time intake of 8 curies of
tritium as tritiated water, you will receive a committed effective dose
equivalent of 450 rem.  The 450 rem is just one of a bunch of numbers
that run from 300 to 600 rem that various people have used as the lethal
dose in 30 days to 50% of the population receiving that dose.  Al
