length of messages

Everyone, there is far too much "mindless" quoting of messages in
replies.

Please note the following excerpts from the RADSAFE Internet Mailing
List "rules"

1. Be mindful of the size of your messages -- quote only enough      
   text from the original message to make your message meaningful. 
   ...
   Some subscribers have limited disk space in their e-mail accounts.

Selective editing of quoted text increases readability and saves time
for the reader of the message.

I realize that it's easier to simply hit the reply button and respond
to a message, rather than take the time to edit selectively the quoted
material.  However, please have some consideration for fellow
subscribers who must wade through quoted and re-quoted material in
order to find new material.
