Statement on "managing used nuclear fuel"

A top nuclear industry executive today (February 5)  told a Senate 
committee that "America can no longer wait for the federal government 
to act responsibly" on managing used nuclear fuel. The Senate Energy 
and Natural Resources Committee's hearing followed yesterday's call 
by congressional leaders for President Clinton to explore bipartisan
efforts on used fuel management.
