     With respect to organ doses vs. body size, visceral organs are nearer 
     the surface in small people, e.g., kids.  Thus, the ratio of organ 
     dose to skin entry dose is greater in children.  For a given skin dose 
     (or, if you are from the old school, exposure) and quality of external 
     radiation, the dose to visceral organs is greater in smaller bodies.  
     This obviously has no meaning when we consider uniform whole-body 
     dose.  However, it is a factor in real-world exposures, when the dose 
     is not uniform throughout.
