CONFERENCE ANNOUNCEMENT

The South Pacific Environmental Radioactivity Association (SPERA) organizes
international meetings, held usually in either Australia or New Zealand,
every two years.

Details of the 1998 conference are as follows:

Theme:  ENVIRONMNENTAL RADIOACTIVITY AND ITS APPLICATION IN ENVIRONMENTAL
STUDIES.

Date:  16 - 19 February 1998

Venue:  University of Canterbury, Christchurch, New Zealand.

Organizer:  Dr Murray Matthews, Head of Environmental Radioactivity Section,
National Radiation Laboratory, Christchurch.
