Medical Health Physicist Opening



The Cleveland Clinic Foundation has an immediate opening for a Medical
Health Physicist to assist in supporting a broad-scope NRC license.  CCF
is a 1000+ bed teaching hospital with a Radiation Oncology department,
which has an active conventional brachytherapy program, HDR and
Gamma-Knife and a Nuclear Medicine department with on-site nuclear
pharmacy and PET scanner.  There are approximately 90 authorized
users (principal investigators) of radioactive material in the clinical
departments and research institute laboratories.

Responsibilities:  Provide support and assist in all clinical and research
aspects of the program including audits and policy and procedure
development to ensure regulatory compliance.  The position requires an
M.S. in Health Physics, or related field, and at least two years of
experience in Radiation Safety.  Training and working experience in
waste management, license review, clinical and research laboratory
audit, diagnostic imaging and instrument calibration are desired.  

The Radiation Safety Office has a staff of 10:  1 RSO, 2 Medical Health
Physicists, 1 Department Coordinator, 1 Radiation Safety Assistant, 4
Radiation Safety Technologists, and 1 secretary.  A competitive salary
