Gang, Speaking off the top of my head I mistakenly used the term dielectric constant in a preivious email wrt. ionization. I should have said dielectric strength determines what field strength ioniztion occurs in a medium. The dielectric constant is unitless whereas the dielectric strength is in volts/meter. Dale
