Position: Environmental Quality Specialist IV (Health Physicist)

General Job Description: Performs complex health physics 
    (radiological control) work to evaluate the adequacy of proposed 
    equipment, facilities, procedures and personnel to minimize danger 
    to public health and safey or the environment for industrial uses 
    of radioactive material.  Work involves formulating and carrying 
    out radiation control projects; and analyzing and/or controlling 
    radiological hazards.  Works under limited supervision with 
    moderate latitude for the use of initiative and independant 
    judgement.

Minimal Qualifications:  

    Bachelors degree plus 3 years full-time experience directly 
    related to radiological functions or health physics.  Education 
    and work are transferrable: 15 semester hours undergrad = 9 
    semester hours grad = 6 months work experience.    

Additional Remarks: 

    Health Physics Position; Degree in physical or natural science 
    preferred; May involve work at other than normal working hours; 
    May be exposed to ionizing and/or non-ionizing radiation; Must 
    provide transportation
