I happen to have a box of CDV-700s sitting in my office and the Victoreen
Model No. 6A reads out in milliroentgen per hour. Its got 3 ranges 0-0.5, 0-5,
and 0-50. The detector is a GM tube with a shielded side window.
The Sierra Nevada Chapter of the HPS got 81 of them from the State of California
Office of Emergency Services for science teacher workshops.
