cdv's'scdv's

Dear John:
To the best of my knowledge the 700 utilizes an energy compensated G-M tube
and reads out in mR/hr,
the 715 uses an ion chamber and reads in R/hr

Does anyone know what principle of detection is employed by a cdv 700 or
cdv 715 and what they read out in or anything else about these things?
