Standards for Ventilation
Hi Radsafers,
I am looking for published standards on ventilation design when using
radionuclides. The particular setting is radiolabeling of antibodies
with I-131, Y-90, In-111, etc., in a cancer treatment center which is
licensed by the NRC.
The specific question is how to air-balance a room to prevent airborne
radionuclides from escaping to adjacent areas. Are there any standards
which specify the pressure difference (in inches of H2O) needed to
maintain isolation, or any other ventilation design elements (i.e.,
engineering controls)?
Thanks in advance,
Wes
