Having followed some of the analyses of the fuzzy x-ray pictures, it sounds
like the problem resides in the x-ray tube itself. There may be multiple
hot spots in the filament giving you one or more sources of electrons which
produce one or more x-ray beams. If its a dual filament tube, the off
filament may still be emitting and causing a secondary beam, *and* a second
image.

Change the tube!

Cheers

Carl
