Re: beta particle range

Dear Bob,

A universal curve of beta ray range in units of mg per sq. cm is given
in
Cember's book, and is fitted to the following equations:

R=412*E( exp 1.265 - 0.0954 lnE)  for 0.01< E <2.5 MeV

ln E= 6.63-3.2376(( 10.2146 - ln R) exp 1/2)    for R<1200

R= 530E- 106  for E<2.5 MeV, R>1200

Good luck!

Sergio
