Radiochemist Position Available




American Radiation Services, Inc. (ARS) has an opening for an entry to
mid-level radiochemist.  The position involves the preparation of liquid and
solid samples using EPA and DOE procedures for the determination of activity
concentrations using gamma spectroscopy, low background proportional
counting, alpha spectroscopy and LSC.

Requirements:

1.  Navy nuclear trained ELT preferred with 5 plus years of experience or
B.S. degree in chemistry with 5 plus years of analytical chemistry experience
in a commercial laboratory setting. (if you have a MS or PhD, this job is not
for you)

2.  Registration with the National Registry of Radiation Protection
Technologists (RRPT) or elegibility preferred but not required.

3.  Shift work will be required.

4.  Must have the ability to perform large amounts of work independantly with
minimal supervision.  Accuracy and precision are a must.

5.  Must sucessfully pass required radiation worker and OSHA training.


ARS is a small, but high growth, radiochemistry service provider and health
physics consulting firm located in Baton Rouge, LA.  Starting salary in the
