Regulatory Release Criteria

Hello, Everyone, 
there seems to be some confusion about the "new" NRC Regulatory Release 
Criteria. The new rule states in part that patient release can be based 
on a dose level (< .5 Rem) to an individual exposed to an individual 
administered radiopharmaceuticals or permanent implants. The equation 
for determinign compliance is:	
D(t)=34.6(T/1/2E or T1/2P)*Act Admin*Spec Gamma Ray Const/100cm^2. If 
the T1/2 > 1 day, an occupancy factor (0.25 or 0.125) can be used. I 
hope this helps toclarify things.
