Hi Sam and all Radsafers,

As a matter of fact, I believe the first "historic" HPS position statement
issued, was on the benefits of Food Irrradiation.  I see here, in my handy
Membership Handbook, that the statement was issued in July 1988.  If your copy
of the Handbook is not handy, you might be able to find a copy of the Position
Statement by surfing to the HPS Web page at http://www.hps.org/hps.  If it isn't
there, it should be! %^)

P.S. Sam, I see your a member of the HPS, so you should have it there right
there next to your heart!
