The Millstone site (3 units) does not analyzed gaseous effluent for Fe-55.

I need to know if anybody analyzes gaseous effluent samples for Fe-55.
Although Fe-55 analysis is not required by generic tech specs for gaseous
effluents (it is for liquid effluents), Fe-55 is a large fraction of total
activity in some waste streams.
Please reply especially if you do perform Fe-55 analysis for gaseous
effluents, and tell me also what the relative dose impact of this isotope is
at your facility. You can reply to me (Tom VanderMey, Fermi 2) directly at
vandermeyt@detroitedison.com. Or you could post general thoughts about
whether any nuclear plant should analyze for this isotope in gaseous effluents
(given that it has fairly low dose factors and is only an internal hazard) to
Radsafe.
