Re: filter for 131-I & 125-I

To be blunt, it is my understanding that the trapping of radioiodine
by charcoal is a chemical phenomenon (adsorption I believe). As such,
it is independent of the exact isotope involved. Thus, it captures
     I-125 and I-131 equally well.

Hello Everyone,
Can anyone provide me with information on the difference(s) between
charcoal filters used to trap 131-I &/or 125-I? Is there a difference?
If a filter can trap 125-I, does that mean inherently that it can trap
131-I, or vice-versa? Any other info on the subject would be appreciated
greatly. Thanks!
