Re: Greenpeace - Are they pro-nuke and don't know it?

An interesting thing about environmental groups is that any
alternative is better than what they are currently opposing. In an
interview during the early to mid 70's David Brower, former head of
the Sierra club was fighting damns along the Colorado river. When
asked what the growing region should use for power he replied,
Nuclear because it emits nothing during operation is fairly safe and
does not have as much impact on the environment. Well nuclear is all
but dead in this country so now the environmentalists are moving on
to other power sources. Perhaps this would be a good time to buy
stock in lamp oil, lantern, and candle companies.
