RE: Are there any more "OKLO's?
There was a small article in the New Scientist - 31 May 1997 on page 5
about "A group of European scientists who were trying to stop a mining
company from excavating the world's last untouched natural nuclear
fission reactor". It goes on to say that the reactor is the only one of
15 in the Oklo region to escape mining.
The person leading the campaign to preserve the site is Francois
Gauthier-Lafaye of the Centre for Surface Geochemistry in Strasbourg.
