Re: Co-60 Source Term

I suggest the quickest way to get the most information is to call Chris Wood at the Electric Power Research Institute in Palo Alto, California.
They have looked at this from top to bottom. While you can talk to many plants in the US, virtually all of the key work has been in collaboratrion with EPRI and they know the lessons learned from the industry as a whole, including internationl efforts. If they cannot give the numerous reports to you directly if you're not a member, I think they can direct you to where you can get it on your own. The phone number at EPRI is 650-855-2000.

Hi all!

Radiation Protection at Koeberg Nuclear Power Station is looking at
ways to reduce the Co-60 source term in the reactor coolant. A large
number of Stations have done this already, and we are looking at
international experience on this issue. Any information on the
reduction of Co-60, literature references or references to persons
that may be able to provide information will be greatly appreciated.
