RE: Gammabeam 150

Greetings Radsafers,

Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia has a non-operational 
Gammabeam 150 manufactured by AECL. The Cs-137 source is jammed down 
inside the unit and not only will cost too much to fix, but the 
researcher who "owns" the unit is semi retired. The unit is taking up 
very valuable space that could be better utilized. We are hoping to 
get rid of the unit if the cost is not too prohibitive. Can anyone 
give me information on companies who might offer this dismantling and
