Radsafers,

I believe there is considerable uncertainty about the number of chromosome
repairs.  Billen's numbers are being challenged, largely on the grounds that the
biological materials he used were not representative of the human body, and it is
believed by some people that Billen's numbers are high by several orders of
magnitude.  It continues to be an interesting question.
