WHISTLE BLOWER'S STORY TO TV

CHER will be the executive producer of a TV movie about a 
whistle blower a the Oak Ridge TN nuclear weapons installation.

"Oak Ridge" is the story of a real life toxicologists ANN 
WALZER who suffers mysterious ailments she blames on radiation 
exposure, Variety reported last week. It did not say who would 
get the starring role. The film is expected to air on NBC next 
season.

The topic is not new for Cher, who starred in "Silkwood", a 
1983 movie about KAREN SILKWOOD,  who died weeks after blowing 
the whistle on safety violations at a nuclear fuels plant in 
Oklahoma. ... end...
