Some information I have received from EPA
HQ:

The NAS' BEIR VI Report will be released at a
NAS press briefing at 11:00 on February 19 th
at the NAS.

The entire report will be on the NAS web site
(www.nas.edu)  but NOT for several days after
the press briefing (it's a long and technical
report and they are still double checking for
typos).  Therefore, I have requested the NAS to
provide us at least the executive summary and
the "layman's" summary on disc so we can
distribute that information ASAP (i.e. before it's
available on the Web).  This has NOT yet been
agreed to by the NAS.

The published/printed report will not be available
from the NAS for about 2 months.

BIER 6 is an update of BIER 4 ie Radon.
