some info for you and a remark

I am a long-time subscriber to Consumer Reports. Went to your web site
and noticed that there is no LINK to sending you an email without
subscribing. Deep inside FAQs you do tell that one can use the
nocomm@consumer.org address, but the verbiage in your "talk" page alludes
to being able to send free email. Just a suggestion!

Remark: in your March 1998 article on "Chicken: How Safe, How Tasty," you
say that "...irradiation isn't a panacea. It could lead to .. public
health and environmental side effects." What side effects? Irradiation
is a well-known, well-used, safe technique for preserving food. No side
effects, public health or environmental, have ever been observed. So why
the caveat? Many thanks, Ed Kaplan, PhD.
