Re: Dangers of Radon?
Another study about the risks of radon progeny is the one by Saccomano et
al, it was published about 1986. That study showed no increase of lung
cancer in non-smoking uranium miners for cumulative levels below 300 WLM.
Also, small cell carcinoma of the lung (oat cell carcinoma) is what is
usually observed in the uranium miners. One physician has said that about
about 95% of the cases of small cell carcinoma are smokers.
