SRD calibration frequencies

    Have any of you, who are still using Self Reading Dosimeters/Pocket Ion 
Chambers, extended your calibration frequency of these units beyond the 6 
month frequency called for in Reg Guide 8.4 "Direct-Reading and 
Indirect-Reading Pocket Dosimeters"?
     A review of the past calibration and drift check history of these units 
at our facility demonstrate a failure rate of much less than 1% and would 
seem to warrent a longer period between calibrations.
