OMB A-119, meeting

I saw mention of A-119 recently on RADSAFE.
This is the policy title "Federal Participation in the
Development and Use of Voluntary Consensus Standards and
in Comformity Assessment Activities". (in Fed Register 2/19/98)

Among other changes the government must justify and report the  use of
government-unique standards in lieu of voluntary consensus stds.

There is a meeting at the Dept of Commerce on 25 March, 9 a.m., open to
all to discuss the implementation of this std, but is targeted towards
Federal Agency personnel.  Non-federal persons must sign up by 23 March.
