	SENIOR SCIENCE SPECIALIST

Bechtel Nevada has an immediate opening in Las Vegas, Nevada
for a Senior Science Specialist to support the DOE Federal
Radiological Monitoring and Assessment Center (FRMAC)
program.  Bechtel Nevada, a prime contractor to the U.S.
Department of Energy, is a three-company team composed of
Bechtel Nevada Corporation, Lockheed Martin Nevada
Technologies, Inc., and Johnson Controls Nevada, Inc.

The successful candidate will manage radiological monitoring
planning and prepare a variety of technical reports for national
and international radiological emergency response activities. 
Develop new methods for monitoring, data processing, and
assessment procedures.  Serve as health physicist or mission
scientist on DOE nuclear emergency responses.  Manage a million
dollar plus program scope of work. 

The successful candidate must possess a Ph.D. in Health Physics
or Nuclear Physics, or the equivalent combination of experience
and training, plus a minimum of ten years experience in radiation
sciences; five years experience managing programs/projects; and
experience managing personnel.  Knowledge and skill to make
recommendations to improve monitoring and data analysis
techniques commonly used in evaluating scientific data. 
Knowledge and skills to teach scientific principals and equipment
capabilities to technical personnel.  Knowledge and skill in
planning and participating in emergency response operations. 
Skilled in project management techniques.  On short notice,
candidate must be able to deploy on domestic and overseas
missions.
