K-40 Concentrations in Soil -Reply



Andy,

Good question.  I do not even know what would be meant by a "typical
concentration of K-40 in soil."   K-40 concentration in rocks and such varies
between about 1 and about 50 pCi/gm and varies from one rock to the next.  The
concentration in soil would be a function of the fertilizer used and a host of other
factors.
