[Fwd: FW: Safety Net-March Edition]

NIOSH just put on line, for your downloading pleasure, the proceedings
of a workshop to develop a national research strategy on the health
effects of electromagnetic radiation on workers. You'll have access to
the 5 papers that were presented which discussed :

1. In Vitro/Cellular Mechanism Studies
2. In Vivo studies
3. Epidemiologic studies
4. Exposure assessments
5. Methods for reducing exposures

Go to http://www.cdc.gov/niosh/pdfs/91-111-b.pdf to view it.

OSHA has a couple of new publications you may want to check out.
1. Working Safely with VDT's
http://www.osha-slc.gov/publications/OSHA3092/osha3092.html

2. Employee Workplace Rights
http://www.osha-slc.gov/publications/OSHA3021/OSHA3021.html

Thankfully, most of the accident investigations you are involved with are
not of the catastrophic nature. But if you want to review/view what the
Dept. of Energy has put together on conducting Accident Investigations
of the catastrophic nature go to:
http://tis.eh.doe.gov/web/eh2/workbook/index.html

This is a workbook that the DOE's site managers can use to guide them
through a detailed accident investigation. Be forewarned it is a 10 MEG
file. A companion to the workbook are Day Planner pages that the DOE
have put on line. To view go to:
