RE: In-111
We have recently calculated skin doses for several nuclides of interest
here. We are using the Varskin program to perform these calculations after
adding our site specific nuclides. For In-111, 1 uCi point source, the beta
dose rate is 233 mrad/h, the gamma dose rate is 84 mrad/h. For a two
dimensional source of 1 cm^2, all other parameters same as above, the beta
dose rate is 245 mrad/h. All dose rates are averaged over a 1 cm^2 area.
For In-111, the shallow dose is due to conversion electrons as there are no
betas. Varskin allegedly overcalculates the dose from conversion electrons
but I do not have a value for this.
