I know there's a lot of cynics out there regarding lawyers and lawyering.
 But the vast majority of us are just as frustrated as you when it comes
to decisions and their interpretation.  Nevertheless, when you look
closely at the basis for the decision, most of the time you can find a
clear legal reason for it.  Remember, the legal method of reasoning is
very different from the scientific or engineering method.  A judge
sometimes can base an entire decision on the turning of a phrase.  And
that's also why HP's need to be clear when testifying about the audience,
and about the context of the question.
