If the question has to do with the misallocation of resources for radiation
protection down to very low levels, where no related health effects are
discernible and where these resources might more appropriately be expended
to alleviate discernible health effect related to poverty, then an article
"Income Inequality and Mortality in Metropolitan Areas in the United
States" in the July issue of the July issue of the American Journal of
Public Health (Vol. 88 No. 7 pp 1074-1080) may be relevant.
