RE: Respect

Erin,

You had it right the first time. While there are a few individuals on
RADSAFE who do not always respond the way we would like them to, most of
us are on RADSAFE to learn and to help others learn. I've been a health
physicist for over 30 years and have been certified for 16 years, and I
don't remember ever thinking a question was trivial or not worth
answering. And there are still a lot of things discussed on RADSAFE
that I know nothing about, so it isn't just "new" people who need to ask
simple questions! Hang in there - pretty soon you're going to be the
one who is answering questions for the new "new" people.

Someone suggested that once you identify a person as being condescending
or disrespectful, you should just delete any messages from that
individual. Be careful! The individual who is impolite one day may be
the one who provides a polite enlightening answer to your next question.
