RE: Prostate Seed Sterilization techniques

Here, Here I must emphasize Wes's point regarding sterilization of prostate
seeds.  In the case of I-125 from a well known manufacturer it is important
to note that the seeds are shipped pre-sterilized and should not be
re-sterilized.  Although prototype seeds were tested at some very high
temperatures, depending on the loading technique you could drive I-125 off
of the substrate (although not out of an intact seed) which leads to a
reduction of safety in the seed design.
