Those of you born before 1970 might find it interesting to visit the
following site and calculate the estimated thyroid dose you received
during the 90 atomic bomb tests in the 50-60's in Nevada.

As a bottle-fed baby in eastern Pennsylvania in 1957 my estimated dose was
3 rem.
