license for prostate brachy

>Our cancer center is affiliated with a local hospital; but is physically
>off site. We have an HDR within our cancer center walls and this
>constitutes the extent of our radioactive materials license. We do not
>have a "hot lab" or storage safe in our center.
>
>We are planning to implement Pd and I-125 prostate brachytherapy at our
>hospital. I think the best way to handle license issues is to put the
>new isotopes on the hospital's license, and then we'd (cancer center
>physics) would handle the logistics of it from there. That means the
>seeds would be delivered to nuc. med. and kept in their hot lab until we
>got there.
>
>The hospital RSO (a physician; radiologist) and the nuc. med. supervisor
>think its best to put the seeds on the cancer center's license; and
>apparantly they received "blessing" from the state authorities. I am
>asking for your professional opinions in this matter. Should the seeds
>go on the hospital's license, or the cancer center's license? Regardless
>of which license they go on, they will still have to be delivered to the
>hospital nuc. med. dept. The centers I have already talked with (with a
>similar setup in terms of being "off site") all put their seeds on the
>license maintained by nuc. med. Easier control that way they say.

>Many thanks for your help. Please respond to me directly. If anyone
