I recommend that, when you have this sort of technical problem, you ask to
speak to an HP there, not your customer service rep. I used to find that Joe
Zlotnicky was exceptionally helpful, lucid, and informative; unfortunately,
he may have moved up the administrative ladder since then. Landauer's
service reps worked diligently for me, when I was a client, but, generally,
they don't have the tech chops to help you troubleshoot/brainstorm business
of this sort. I'm sorry that I have no bright ideas of my own. I suppose
that you've ruled out deliberate out-of-badge exposure. The lateral exposure
possibility occurred to me, too, but . . .
