High Temperature Contamination Monitoring

Does anyone have information on techniques and/or materials for performing a loose surface contamination survey on a very hot stainless steel surface (1000 degrees Celsius)? Survey results will be used to release the object from a contamination area into a "clean" area. An indirect method (e.g., wipe) is necessary due to high background. The sample will be obtained remotely, and the wipe material should not prevent the detection of alpha-emitters. The contamination will consist of both alpha and beta-gamma emitting nuclides. Comments and suggestions welcome! Thanks
