'Nuclear Health Scare' article

I would like to bring to RADSAFE's attention a very well-written
editorial titled "A Newspaper Invents a Nuclear Health Scare" by Michael
Fumento in yesterday's (11/12/98) Wall Street Journal. The editorial
describes the lack of science behind the recent series of articles in
the Nashville Tennessean that began with "Toxic Burn: Fear and Fire in
Oak Ridge" proclaiming the serious health impacts that the Oak Ridge
TSCA incinerator has had on the local residents. The Tennessean has
since published more than 100 articles and has expanded its scope to
include the entire DOE complex.
