Re: OSHA radiation regulatory activities

About four years ago a nurse at our hospital complained to OSHA
that we were creating a safety hazard in the way we were handling
brachytherapy patients on the patient care unit. Apparently this nurse
had come from another facility where they treated brachy patients
differently than we do.
OSHA called us, and we had to compile a lot of documentation for
them, which eventually satisfied them. But if we had not had a tight
system, I suspect they would have come in for a rather complete
inspection.
