                                   EVENT TEXT

+-----------------------------------------------------------------------
-------+
| INTERNATIONAL RADIOGRAPHY & INSPECTION SERVICES OF TULSA, OK REPORTED
AN |
| OVEREXPOSURE OF ONE OF THEIR EMPLOYEES.
|
|
|
| AN EMPLOYEE WALKED PAST A CAMERA WHILE SETTING UP FOR A PIPE
RADIOGRAPH. |
| THE ATTENDANT TECHNICIANS THOUGHT ( BUT WERE NOT SURE) THE CAMERA WAS
|
| ALREADY SET UP FOR THE RADIOGRAPH. THE BADGES WERE SENT TO
THERMONUTECH ON |
| 11/07/98 FOR A READING. THE LICENSEE JUST RECEIVED THE RESULTS TODAY.
|
| THERE SEEMS TO BE AN ANOMALY WITH THE READINGS. THE LIGHTLY SHIELDED
CHIP |
| HAD A READING OF 3,400 MR, WHILE THE HEAVILY SHIELDED (WHOLE BODY
BADGE) |
| CHIP HAD A READING OF 10,780 MR. THERMONUTECH DOES NOT UNDERSTAND WHY
THE |
| WHOLE BODY BADGE IS READING HIGHER THAN THE LIGHTLY SHIELDED BADGE.
|
| HOWEVER, THE EMPLOYEE'S DOSIMETER AND TLD HAD BEEN LOST DURING THE
SETUP FOR |
| THE RADIOGRAPH. THE EMPLOYEE'S BLOOD TEST TAKEN ON 11/07/98 HAD
NORMAL |
| RESULTS. THIS EVENT WILL BE FURTHER INVESTIGATED.
